Scared
By April Fana
Everyone’s scared to walk out the street
They are all sared of who they gonna meet
They are all scared of what is gonna happen next
No one want to be in school, they just want to text.
The violence in this city is gonna end humanity
Everyone’s taken over by this feeling of insanity.
Everyday you hear in the news someone’s getting shot,
People getting hurt all because of what they got.
Well what I’m trying to say is the violence needs to stop
Before someone else stole what they bought.
Peace and Violence
By Brittany Emerson

Violence is everywhere.
You can’t speak out ‘because no one hears and no one cares.
If we speak from our hearts and our souls
Maybe people will listen to what we want to say about violence.
If we fight for our rights, I just know we can find the light.
I think if we all hear what people have to say about violence
I know that we can stop it.
Right here, right now.
It’s time to end the violence and live in a peaceful world.

Error – Wrong Move
One day the world will break
for all the men talking about all the girls he raped.
Proud for all the lives he’ll take.
Not caring for all the lives he took
proud to be a crook
writing this down in a book
Trying to add more to his collection
hurting is his game and he wants to do it ‘til perfection.
Only time thinking about correction
when he makes a mistake and thinks he would get caught.
and says “Nope, that’s just a thought.”
Until one time he fought.
Someone called the cops.
He thought he wasn’t seen by the cop,
so he ran to his spot.
Shut the door and it locked.
Then he heard a knock
and with all the quiet, he felt dead like a rock.
Quick trying to find some place to hide
but he wont blend in. Besides
all the other bodies are dead. He’s still alive.
Cops kicking the door down until it drop.
He screamed “Don’t move!” They couldn’t ‘cause they were in shock.
They saw too many bloody bodies in one spot.
They saw the suspect with a gun
to his head and he said “All or none.
Game over .I won”.
Now that all this mischief is done,
he’s dead and not yet to come.
A point to prove he is dead and he loose
If they talk,
be the bigger man and walk
It’s your attitude. Pick it up before it drops.

Truth to end the Violence
He wakes up to see
the world dead.
Maybe one day a
person will stand
up to the streets
who knows right from wrong.
I do see a lot in my time
from drugs to guns.
People who lose control
of their lives
only to suffer in the end.
Now I won’t let the
future of the city go down.
Adults need to take a stand
or we as young adults
will enter the wrong path
in our lifetime.
Adults, pick which path you
want from us
death or a successful life.
I pick a successful life.

Only a mother of a child can save his or her soul from violence
Once an incident walks down the path of violence, his or her soul is stained with the pain of others leaving only sorrow and agony in a mother’s heart and the only words to say are…
Violence only brings anger and agony to people in the world that are hurt or dead
This world would be a much better place without violence everyone would be happy and there would not be any more sorrow and pain
We would all see the day when nobody dies wrongfully
Until that day comes, I will capture all the joy of life that surrounds me!
